This course gives you the opportunity to work with Australian actor and teacher, Kestie Morassi. With 27 years of experience in the Australian film and television industry Kestie brings a wealth of knowledge, passion and empathy to her sessions. Beginning with a variety of script analysis techniques and discussion, culminating in creating dynamic scenes from contemporary scripts and encouraging the actors to fully personalise and ground themselves their characters and to breathe life, originality and absolute authenticity into the text.


Course Outline

Working on contrasting, contemporary scenes from high quality film and/or television scripts. Kestie provides guidance, feedback and direction that focusses on:

  • Script Analysis using logic, personalisation and imagination
  • Making “the character” your own
  • Listening: what it actually means and how to do it well
  • Staying “open” and “available” in a scene
  • Embracing “failure” and encouraging experimentation
  • Striving for authentic and truthful connections to the text and your scene partner

Course Outcomes

Making truthful and surprising connections to text, to yourself and your other players is the aim of Kestie’s teaching. Outcomes being:

  • Acting becomes truly joyful, playful and spontaneous
  • More authenticity and power in your performances
  • Freedom from ego and debilitating nerves
  • Unlocking the artist’s emotions and inner life
  • Creating more grounded, layered and integrated “characters”

How To Pay & Instalment Option: The easiest way to pay is by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using the bank details on the invoice (please quote the invoice number in the transfer information), or by simply clicking the ‘pay online’ link also on the invoice (bank fees apply). You will be email an invoice upon acceptance into the program. Payment is due no later than the due date stated on the invoice, however if you would like to pay in instalments please call or email the office to arrange the dates and amounts you will pay. Please note full payment of the course is due by the time the course finishes. You can start payment instalments at anytime upon receipt of the invoice.

About Kestie Morassi

Kestie has acquired a numerous amount of credits and awards/nominations across film and TV, in her 27 years of acting.  She has taught at Melbourne’s “Drama With A Difference” (2010 -2015) and directed the schools shows for Comedy Festival & Fringe Festival. She is currently  teaching Screen Acting at PSA (2021) and runs her own online drama school, Wildlings Drama (2019 – 2021).
