Course Outline
This 4 week course will focus on:
- Script analysis techniques
- Imagery – grounding yourself in the 5 senses of scene.
- Techniques to get specific about your own interpretation of a scene (specificity brings freedom and confidence to play).
- Techniques to work with nerves and self doubt.
Course Outcome
Through this course, you’ll find freedom to:
- Play and discover, rather than striving to “get the audition right.”
- Honestly listen and be truthfully changed by the other actor.
- Experience more genuine connections with other characters in the scene.
- Let go of control over the scene.
- Make more exciting choices and “raise the stakes” in the scene.
- Be more curious about (and enjoy!) your own interpretation of a character and scene.

How To Pay & Instalment Option: The easiest way to pay is by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using the bank details on the invoice (please quote the invoice number in the transfer information), or by simply clicking the ‘pay online’ link also on the invoice (bank fees apply). You will be email an invoice upon acceptance into the program. Payment is due no later than the due date stated on the invoice, however if you would like to pay in instalments please call or email the office to arrange the dates and amounts you will pay. Please note full payment of the course is due by the time the course finishes. You can start payment instalments at anytime upon receipt of the invoice.
About Grace Naoum
Grace graduated from the full-time course at Actors Centre Australia in 2013. Most recently Grace has been cast in the role of Cora in the U.S. film, NOMAD, (2021 release), played Gina Rossato in Chanel 7’s Homicide with Ron Iddles, Grace Luske (lead) in the TV series Deadly Women and played Molly Sweeney in Clock and Spiel’s Production of Molly Sweeney. Grace has worked as part of the Educational Theatre Company, Poetry In Action, touring Australia for 8 months. Theatre credits include Hermione (lead) in Secret House’s production of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, Ajax in Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida, Malcolm in SheShakespeare’s production of Macbeth and the lead role of Tiffany in Factory Theatre’s Production of Almost Nearly Paradise by Brenda Gottsche. In the past 2 years Grace has been cast in several commercials such as Google, Aussie Home Loans, British Paints, Square Space, Smiths Chips, Fiji Tourism, Open Colleges and Berocca. Grace has worked on a variety of short films such as Enneagrams vs COVID-19 (actor, co-writer, producer), and written and performed poetry for charity organisations, International Justice Mission and TEAR Australia.
Grace also currently coaches acting at The HubStudio, The Sydney Acting Studio and Parramatta Actors Centre.
