Course Overview
The HubStudio is very proud to have Daisy Hicks, the celebrated casting director, back to coach for The HubStudio. This is an exclusive opportunity to learn more about the casting process directly from a successful casting director who is known for being friendly, supportive, and approachable.
Join Daisy for an intensive casting workshop designed to elevate your audition skills. Actors will prepare a two-hander scene, no longer than 90 seconds or two pages, to perform as though it is a live audition.
The class will start with Daisy speaking about audition & self-tape techniques and preparation. You will then perform a pre-prepared scene with a reader from the class. Daisy will provide personalised feedback and you will then re-record the scene, employing the feedback provided. The workshop will conclude with a Q&A session. Perfect your craft and gain invaluable insights from an experienced casting director. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your audition technique!

How To Pay & Instalment Option: The easiest way to pay is by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using the bank details on the invoice (please quote the invoice number in the transfer information), or by simply clicking the ‘pay online’ link also on the invoice (bank fees apply). You will be email an invoice upon acceptance into the program. Payment is due no later than the due date stated on the invoice, however if you would like to pay in instalments please call or email the office to arrange the dates and amounts you will pay. Please note full payment of the course is due by the time the course finishes. You can start payment instalments at anytime upon receipt of the invoice.
About Daisy Hicks
Daisy Hicks is an award winning Casting Director whose work spans across film, television, theatre and musical theatre. Having previously worked at the Sydney-based casting offices McGregor Casting and i4 Casting, Daisy’s credits as a Casting Director and Casting Associate include: Tough, It’s Fine I’m Fine, & Juliet, Seasons 1-3 of Bump, Joe Vs. Carole, The Dismissal, Frayed Season 2, Way Out Assistance, and many more! This a rare opportunity to work in the room with a Casting Director who is known for her friendly, positive attitude towards empowering actors to present their best work and her insightful approach to character and script. Learn how to make an impact with your auditions and how to navigate the world of self-tapes vs. in-room auditions.
